Made for the band Low Island’s track ‘The whole world tucked away’ I was interested in depicting a scene that exaggerates, accentuates and contrasts the everyday things we see via the Internet such as elements of warfare, luxury lifestyles to wonders of the natural world. I was interested in the lyric ‘sometimes you laugh, sometimes you cry’ and in response the image is a dystopian paradox; a dreamy depiction of a nuclear bomb explodes in the background, while a woman casually sits atop a giant hermit crab in the foreground.
